The Chicago Actuarial Association is partnering with the SOA to bring the “Candidate Connect” event to Chicago.

This event is tailored for pre-ASA actuarial candidates in the process of taking exams. It will provide the candidate with information and the opportunity to network and meet with actuaries in the Chicagoland area. Gain insights into the actuarial profession, learn about what qualities employers are seeking, and build your professional network by connecting with SOA leaders, practicing actuaries, fellow candidates and employer representatives.

The SOA will sponsor candidate attendance and waives meeting costs, although a $10 administrative fee will be charged upon registration.

Employers / Members: We would like to invite actuarial employers to join us at this event. Your company is more than welcome to:

• Send 2-3 representatives: Candidates enjoy talking with company representatives especially practicing actuaries or company recruiters. They will appreciate the opportunity to learn about your company and your advice on how to prepare for their actuarial career.
• If you’d like to set up an exhibit table, we have space available at the networking reception area. It’s also a great opportunity to increase your brand awareness among the future actuarial community.

There’s NO fee or charge for your company’s participation.
