A New Manhattan Project: The Second Annual DePaul University Cyber-Risk Conference
The Chicago Actuarial Association is partnering with the Arditti Center for Risk Management at DePaul University to present the second annual full day conference on cyber risk on Tuesday, December 1, entitled “A New Manhattan Project”. Major General Brett Williams, USAF (Retired), a former Director of Operations for US Cyber Command and now the President of Operations and Training at IronNet Cybersecurity, will give the keynote address, outlining the need for large-scale collaboration between government and the private sector in order to achieve cyber security. Expert panels will address the topics of emerging cyber threats facing public and private institutions, the current state of collaboration to combat cyber threats including the impediments hindering more effective collaboration, and how to move forward with a public-private collaboration to achieve protection.
